We are Agneta and Thommy (Tjabo), and Casa Aquila is our home for most of the year. We live here from spring to autumn together with our four cats, enjoying the calm rhythm of life in the Italian countryside. During the winter months, we return to Falun in Sweden.

Our story
As we approached retirement, we began looking for a place in Italy where we could slow down and enjoy life. At first, we explored Tuscany, but it felt too crowded for what we were looking for.
When we discovered the Marche region, everything changed. We immediately fell in love with the landscape — the rolling green hills, the mountains of the Apennines, and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea. It felt authentic, peaceful, and exactly right for us.
Casa Aquila
In 2021, we bought Casa Aquila, and shortly after, we also purchased the neighboring house. Since then, we have been gradually shaping the property into a place where both we and our guests can truly relax and feel at home.
The land around the house is filled with olive trees, fruit trees, and open space — a small piece of countryside that we love to share with others.

Sharing our place
Casa Aquila is more than just a house to us — it’s a place to unwind, enjoy nature, and spend meaningful time with family and friends.
We are happy to welcome guests here and hope that you will enjoy the same sense of peace and beauty that made us fall in love with this place.
If you have any questions about the house or your stay, feel free to contact us — we’re always happy to help.
